Fashion Law Week™

SBC is currently collaborating with the Intellectual Property Students’ Association of Howard University School of Law to produce and expand the IPSA Fashion Law Week™ offering a week of educational programs that expose law students and the broader community to Intellectual Property (IP) issues that impact the fashion industry.


Fashion Law Roundtables

SBC has partnered with Fashion Law and Policy Center to offer DeBrief Fashionably™, Fashion Law Roundtable discussions held on the first Monday of the month. Discussions focus on recent developments in intellectual property law affecting fashion designers. www.fashionlawpolicycenter.com


Community Service

Since 2004, SBC has assisted the High Tea Society (HTS) mentoring program for girls by providing volunteers for HTS summer programs benefitting girls attending DC Public Schools.


District of Columbia Legislation

SBC Law Group staff attorney Mariessa Terrell is responsible for drafting Law 17-0248 for the creation of Commission on Fashion Arts and Events and working with DC city officials to implement the Commission. Link.
